Journal On Demand

For 2010, we are excited to introduce Journal On Demand - an education and lead generation center that allows sponsors to make a wide variety of assets available to our audience, and to use those assets for lead generation, education, and awareness.

Our entire journal audience can browse the On Demand section of each publication and can read abstracts for any item in our Journal On Demand library.  Our registered users can then download or view the full version.  As a sponsor, you get full tracking of every interaction with your assets.  Far better than simple sales leads, you can build a profile of which prospects are interacting on which topics - so you can make the right sales contact at the right time, saving your sales team precious time and money, and offering your potential customers the right products and services at the right time.

Included in On Demand sponsorships is hosting and indexing of assets, significant promotion, high branding visibility, lead and interaction tracking, and "smart microsite" asset landing pages.  Assets that may be placed in the Journal On Demand library include webcasts, videos, white papers, demos, tutorials, application notes, and more...

You simply check in your materials and begin downloading sales leads.  You can start your On Demand program with up to 30 assets, and you can add up to ten more each month.  There are no per-lead charges, and there is no limit on how large your On Demand library can become.  Sponsorships are an annual flat rate.
Each abstract/landing page forms what we call a "smart microsite" - a fully-branded page with only your ads, links to your other sponsored assets, and other items that you select.

On Demand Promo Packs

Want to use the power of Journal On Demand to promote a single item, but don't want to sign up for a full year?

Journal On Demand Promo Packs allow you to add a single item to Journal On Demand for one month.  Your item will be in the searchable On Demand library and will be featured on the front page of your selected publication, in four issues of your selected publication's weekly e-news, in one issue of the monthly On Demand newsletter, and through our social media channels.  

You can optionally also extend your month, or add an exclusive e-mail blast to our entire audience for maximum promotion.

You get full lead-tracking access so you can see who downloaded your asset, and when.

Chalk Talk Webcasts

If you're a Journal On Demand sponsor - or even if you're not - you'll want to consider sponsoring one of our acclaimed "Chalk Talk" webcasts.  

Chalk Talk webcasts are a unique concept pioneered by Techfocus Media.  They combine the large audience loyalty of a popular series program with the lead-generation and education power of your company's best presenters and topics.

The Chalk Talk series has been running for over three years now, and has built a huge following among engineers.  Over 36,000 subscribe to the monthly Chalk Talk newsletter.  Hosted by Techfocus Media's Amelia Dalton, each episode begins on Amelia's chalkboard where she scribbles notes and draws diagrams while delivering a short, witty introduction to your technical topic.  She then introduces your speaker and conducts a question-and-answer style interview throughout your presentation.

Journal Surveys

Each year, we run a limited number of sponsored surveys of our audience. Surveys are powerful tools for gathering critical marketing information as well as generating sales leads.  

You put together a set of survey questions, and we manage the survey for you. We promote the survey to our audience with e-mail blasts and announcements on our regular web pages and newsletters.  We provide you with a secure login so you can analyze your results in real time.

For best results, we recommend repeating surveys at regular intervals (such as once per year) in order to monitor trends in the market.

For maximum value, we recommend offering an incentive for respondents to register at the end of your survey.  This gives you more responses, encourages respondents to fully complete the survey, and (with the appropriate privacy notices) can give you a valuable sales lead database - complete with individual survey responses.
